It makes your location scouting process smoother and more efficient. You can pin locations, images, and notes to a map, run comprehensive inspections and ensure all team members are literally on the same page with the options to share and print. It is not about scouting a location but finding the best spot for motion production.

The exploration process includes watching documentaries about famous location scouts and finding the answers of the life of location scout’s life on Quora. Finally, I got a chance to have a coffee date/ an interview with Tiffany Chan who studied Film and Television Production at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
As location scouting begins, more departments get involved. It means that the project becomes more complex and expensive. A good start in the pre-visualization process helps control the cost and quality throughout the project and it contextualizes a story.
“Once you’ve finished a great scout, you haven’t created anything. You’ve only set yourself up for the possibility of creating something special later on”, says Todd Martin, a well known Cinematographer. Strong locations spare post-production teams time and energy to focus on creating cool effects rather than being lagged by fixing problems caused by the reckless choice of places.
By incorporating Google Maps API to create dynamic user interfaces allowing users to document the scouting experience.
A checklist ensures a thorough inspection before leaving sites. Checklist format prevents mistakes. Had a checklist been printed, your coworkers wouldn’t have been questioning about your confusing handwriting.
A simplified delivery process increases teamwork efficiency. Everyone on your team is on the same track as the scouting process goes.
Onboarding process is not just about helping users set up but also converting them into active users.

Learning how to code helps UX designer think better. As a developer in this project, I realized that it is hard to make the app look and have all the fancy features as I designed. I hope I could understand how the logic, data structure, and APIs work before I designed the product so I could execute the design better. By understanding what the dev team really needs and thinks, we could communicate better to make improvements and important deciscions together.
